Featured in Style Me Pretty: Modern Terracotta Inspiration Shoot

Clean modern lines, yet still warm and rooted in nature.

This wedding inspiration shoot managed it all, and then some on a cool and slightly rainy May day in Southern Alberta and we are here for it. I loaded up my little trailer of travelling vintage goods with all the Boho glam I could muster and headed out for Ralph Klein Park in SE Calgary.

This gorgeous natural area hosts an austere cement & glass conservation centre which seems to be floating above the surrounding wetlands. Our Geometric Arch framed the view down the isle set to the backdrop of the surrounding waterfront. The dried florals adorning the arch drew inspiration from the arid grasslands of our setting here in Southern Alberta.

Terracotta accents, clay dishes, and our amber glassware created a welcoming tablescape.

Several geese played host to the waterfront lounge area, where we settled in on vintage sofas and Boho rattan furniture to celebrate with some bubbly, and of course, that stunning cake! The cake held a place of honour upon our 1940s era radio and created a focal point for this artful baking.
