A Little Bit of Scotland in the Rocky Mountains
The RARE Vintage crew will go to the ends of the earth for our brides, so when we woke up on Hélène & Daniel’s September wedding day to a wild freak snowstorm, we knew just what to do. We busted out all our winter woollies, cleared our schedule to give plenty of extra time to get to the venue, and loaded up the 4x4 with our Mountain Arch and headed out into the storm.
The drive was rough, but when we pulled up to the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant it became so clear why we do what we do. The Ranche was covered in a soft blanket of snow, the lanterns were glowing, and everything was straight up MAGICAL. Hélène had wanted to bring the mountains to Calgary for her ceremony, so we arranged our Mountain Arch on the lawn using the surrounding trees as a backdrop.
There were cozy blankets on the chairs for guests to snuggle up under, and the smells coming from the kitchen were so enticing I really wanted to go in and beg for a snack! I could spend all day telling you about how beautiful the day turned out, but that would be way too many words, so why don’t you have a look for yourself! So many thanks to JM Photography for sharing these stunning images!
